Meet Mob Mama
Mob Mama is a mafia princess, writer, and researcher of Southern mafia history.
Born into a three-generational mafia family, she was the first woman in her lineage to get out. For five decades, she lived under mafia rule, including forced silence, financial control, isolation, and on one occasion, fear for her life and a plan to flee the country.
She is currently writing a memoir: Dharma and the Dixie Mafia and is conducting research for a historical nonfiction book on mafia-involved international drug trafficking in the South from prohibition through the 1990s.
She remains anonymous out of respect for her living relatives, guilty and innocent. She lives in the American Southwest with her blind pug, Georgie.
