Meet Mob Mama
Mob Mama is a Mafia Princess, researcher, and writer. Born into a multigenerational mafia dynasty, she is the first woman in her family to escape with her life and freedom intact. For more than five decades, she lived under mafia rule, including forced silence, financial control, isolation and, on one occasion, fear for her life and a plan to flee the country.
Her Dixie Mafia family was allied with figures associated with the New Orleans, Tampa, and New York Mafias and, in the later years, the MedellĂn Cartel of Colombia. Their primary operations included drug trafficking, gambling, and money laundering. They also had notable involvement in American politics.
She is currently writing a mosaic memoir called Dharma and the Dixie Mafia and conducting research for a historical nonfiction book about organized crime in the American South.
She lives in Colorado with her blind pug, Georgie.
